Last Light on the Green

I was actually packing up, thinking the light was gone. Then it just exploded, right as I was about to leave this hole. That red and orange in the sky, it came out of nowhere, completely changed the mood of everything.

The greens here are always immaculate, but with that sky reflecting off them, they just glowed. That little yellow flag, usually just a marker, felt like it was catching the very last bit of warmth. The deep greens against that fleeting, fiery sky was what really got me.

Had to be quick. That kind of light, it doesn't stick around for long. A few frames, just trying to nail the balance between the intense colors up top and the shadowed foreground. Definitely worth waiting those extra minutes after a long day.
