Bird Rock Sunset
Sometimes you just get lucky. I was set up at Bird Rock in La Jolla, California, doing my usual sunset routine. Had my gear dialed in, ready for whatever the evening brought.
San Diego is famous for its winter sunsets, but I've got to say, this was the best I’ve ever witnessed. The sky just absolutely erupted. Layers of orange, red, and deep purple streaking across the entire horizon.
I had a long exposure running, which really smoothed out the ocean, turning the water into this calm, reflective surface. It put all the focus on that incredible, fiery sky. One of those perfect moments where everything just aligns.
