Coronado Bridge Sunset

I set up on the Coronado Golf Course for this one, looking for that classic shot of the bridge. The sky was really starting to light up just before the sun went down. That deep blue of the bridge always stands out against a colorful evening.

The light kept shifting, moving through oranges, then into those deeper purples and blues as the sun dipped. I wanted the water to look smooth, almost like glass, so a longer exposure was key. You can see the streetlights on the bridge starting to hum with light, too, adding to the evening feel.

It’s a landmark everyone knows, but every sunset paints it differently. Catching the strong lines of the bridge against that soft, reflective water – that’s always the goal. I like how calm the surface is, really mirroring the structure above.
