Seahorse on the Reef

You spend enough time underwater, you just *know* when something's going to be good. This seahorse, it really seemed to be waiting for me. Just hanging there on the gorgonian.

The light was coming in nicely that day in Bonaire. Enough to pick up all the texture on its skin, how it almost shimmered. And the way it just blended into the sponge, but still stood out.

I got in close, took my time. The blue background, that deep reef color, always makes the subjects pop. This one, it was a gift. It held still, like it knew.
