Red-Eye Medusa

Underwater macro with flash

You don't see these often. Most dives, you're looking for bigger stuff, or at least something a little more common. But every now and then, the ocean surprises you with something truly special.

This little guy, a Red-Eye Medusa. Barely bigger than a fifty-cent piece. Just drifting there, clear as glass, with those incredible internal structures and the small red tips. Had to really dial in the macro and light to catch it against the deep water, keep it sharp.

It's moments like this you remember why you do it. The patience, the cold, it all melts away when something this unique just… appears.
